Bali Surf Journal November 2024
If you thought that November is the rainy season and the surf is not good, watch this video to see just how good the quiet season is. November is always light variable winds and can surf Uluwatu area, most days. The Indian Ocean remains consistent in November and while the swells are smaller, the wave quality is still excellent. At the end of the month we took a trip up to the West Coast and scored perfect waves.
Spots shown in this video include Uluwatu, Balangan, Dreamland, Kedungu, Yeh Gangga and Balian.
November low Season Perfection
November is when the tourists leave, the winds go light and the swell keeps coming.
- Uluwatu: An amazing place, particularly in November, when the wind is light and variable, and the swell size drops just enough for everyone to enjoy the long lefts at The Racetrack, The Peak, & beyond.
- Balangan: With light winds and small swell, Balangan was a great option for novice sufers. The high-tide sessions offered fun long rides.
- Dreamland: When the tides dropped, Dreamland served up its signature A-frames. It offered a punchy, beach-break style alternative to the sharp reefs, delivering fun wedges for snappy turns.
- Balian: Pure heaven for surfers. Think A-frame left and rights. So long your legs will feal it. Best experienced from Beach Villa Balian with views of the lineup from your bedroom.
